3K a year This person will consistently assure the smooth operation of the tool room and also maintain the functions of supporting production tools.
They will be supporting, implementing, and improving the tool room's processes and procedures.
Specifying new tooling or capital equipment and collaborating with Tooling Engineering team when needed.
Aiding the EHS Manager in identifying safety issues and implementing corresponding action items.
Assists with the efficient operation of the plant by ensuring that all molds are production ready.
Manage a mold data base/list, track time, and updates, modifications, spare parts list, and other relevant information for all molds within the site.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Responsible for mold maintenance and scheduling repair activities.
Supervise and assist tool room staff activities.
Maintain all injection molds in a production-ready state.
Maintains supplies and spare parts inventory.
Monitor production schedule in order to have tooling ready when needed.
Responsible for working with production personnel with mold repair and cleaning responsibilities.
Responsible for engineering changes to molds as directed.
Ensures Mold Status report is updated and maintained.
Responsible for assigning number codes to molds and maintains records relating to molds.
Ensures that OSHA safety regulations are followed.
Responsible for the training of tooling apprentices.
Oversees construction of fixtures, gauges, and other related items for production and inspection use.
Required to use a handheld propane torch on the production floor.
