Job SummaryThis is a Supervisory position providing overall assistance and support to Manufacturing.
The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the activities of the Tool Shop (Mold Maintenance) and the Tool Makers.
This responsibility involves the scheduling of required personnel, communication of required results of activities through quantitative reporting.
Responsible for performing important management functions at a level directly under the Tool Room Manager.
Work is performed with a high degree of independence that is subject to the review of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities1.
Create a team environment in order to exceed customer expectations.
2.
Compliance to budget and management system requirements.
3.
Oversees operation of the Tool Shop activities such as, but not limited to; work assignments, shift assignments to insure efficient and continued operation of the Tool Shop.
4.
Insure that required repairs, modifications, change over of molds are completed within the time frame required.
5.
Coordinates and interfaces with all activities involving all internal and external tooling activities.
6.
Prepares as needed customer tooling status updates.
7.
Makes required purchases of cutting tools, end mills, files, drills, grinding wheels and other necessary supplies to the operation of the department efficiently.
8.
Maintain tool shop area and keeps equipment in good operating condition and repair.
9.
Communicate both verbally and in writing, ideas and procedures effectively.
10.
Cooperates with personnel in all departments by making cost estimates, completion dates, and updating progress of tools and molds in tool shop care.
11.
Assist Engineering Department when required.
Includes troubleshooting new and existing jobs, cycle improvement, quality improvement and tooling function, both molds and all secondary equipment and operations.
Assist in expediting molds, tooling etc.
12.
Controls the shipment or transfer of all molds entering and leaving the Tool Shop to either other business units or outside vendors.
13.
Maintain proper records of activities and make all necessary reports.
14.
Manages and Maintains all tooling activities in the Maximo tooling database.
15.
Other duties as required.
16.
Insure that all regulatory and safety guidelines are strictly adhered to.
17.
Reports to the Director of Technical Services on all matters requiring his attention.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
