ResponsibilitiesEnsure all glass delivered to Process Group is proper viscosity, temperature and chemistryManage Fiberizing process to ensure optimal process settings are in place and are being followedManage Spinner inventory and life expectancyRemain current in understanding the relationship between glass chemistry and glass propertiesManage and maintain plant recycled water system including filtration, treatment, and disposalPerform technical analyses of manufacturing/process data and apply results to improve processes and meet customer expectationsDevelop and manage Furnace Maintenance processes utilizing internal and external laborManage all batch house operations including mixing and raw material unloadingContinually develop recommendations to enhance manufacturing capabilities/efficiencies through new ideas and/or methodsUnder the supervision of the Process Engineering Manager, execute projects to fulfill department goals and objectives in the areas of cost reduction, productivity gains, process flow, capacity increases, scrap reduction and process and product enhancementsLead projects and/or project sub-teams involved in process and product optimization, innovation, cost reduction or other related business activitiesEducation Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Ceramic Engineering or related fieldLean Certifications and/or Green/Black Belt preferredExperienceMinimum two (2) five (5) years of experience in Process/Manufacturing Engineering in a similar environmentExperience in a similar industry (glass/insulation) highly preferredKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesKnowledge of chemistry, as related to glass, binder and wash water processes in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of furnace and fiberization processes preferredKnowledge of machinery and its design/useKnowledge of large, industrial equipmentWorking knowledge of SAP and Minitab preferredWorking knowledge of manufacturing regulations and standardsKnowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools such as Lean Six SigmaSDL2017.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
